Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2026-07-02T02:36Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
GOES: CCOR-1
Activity ID: 2026-07-02T02:36:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: N17W39
Active Region Number: 14479
Note Keyword:
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
Morphology Keyword:
F: Flux Rope
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: CME associated with M4.2-class solar flare in Active Region 14799 located near N17W39; the CME is comprised of a separate brighter bulk seen to the north in SOHO LASCO C2 and seen to the east-northeast in STEREO A COR2; the fainter shock is extremely wide relative to the bulk and is seen faintly all the way from due west to the northeast in SOHO LASCO C2 and from the north to the southeast in STEREO A COR2A. The eruption is characterized by a circular shock front seen in EUV imagery, particularly in GOES SUVI 284 imagery as there was an ongoing SDO AIA outage at the time.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

Leading edge/bulk measurement using only SOHO/STEREO A as the CME is obscured by the pylon in GOES. Strong eastward deflection along the Earth-Sun line with high confidence as this is visually confirmed in EUV imagery. |

Shock front incorporating very wide shock feature seen to the west in LASCO and to the southeast in STEREO A COR2A simultaneously. To do so requires a width >50 degrees. |
